After the successful IRMS User Meeting in 2015, Elementar again invited IRMS users for a get together and exchange of experiences. On July 5th
and 6th, around 30 users from Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands, France, and Italy met at the Elementar headquarters in Langenselbold near Frankfurt.
The two-day meeting focused on the users' presentations, illustrating the versatile use of stable isotope ratio analysis in different fields of application and encouraging the subsequent exchange of experiences. Whether in ecology, atmospheric research, or in geosciences – the analysis of stable isotopes delivers valuable information in a multitude of research fields. The meeting allowed for a lively discussion between scientists and IRMS specialists from Elementar: latest research methods, challenges, and instrument innovations were presented and discussed. The versatile lecture program was completed by a guided company tour and a convivial evening with BBQ.
Thank you for the lively participation and thanks to all speakers, who presented their research projects and contributed to the success of the event. We look forward to welcoming you to the next IRMS User Meeting here in Langenselbold in 2019.
